At Zen Consultants (Scot) Ltd, we’re more than just accountants. Based in Edinburgh and established in 2006, we take the stress out of accounting and financial management so you can focus on running your business with confidence.
Our founder, Saj Sharif, believes in creating a positive and mindful working environment - a philosophy that shapes everything we do and sets us apart from traditional firms.

MEET THE TEAM
Ms Saj Sharif, BA (Hons)
C.E.O.
Saj established Zen Consultants in 2006, she graduated from Heriot-Watt University
with a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy and Finance. Along with a background in stockbroking, and previous experience as a co-director of a construction firm, she has an excellent working knowledge of the Financial & Construction Industry and specialises in tailoring a bespoke service for each client.
A highly driven and motivated mum of three, Saj is also a fully qualified life coach, hypnotherapist and meditation teacher. Saj is also the founder of Zen Community, a hub for spiritual healing, mindfulness and well-being.
Cammy Sharif, BEng (Hons)
C.F.O.
Cammy joined the fast-growing Zen team in 2017 to help out with increased business pressures and hasn’t looked back since. With a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from The University of Edinburgh, he also runs a successful delivery driver agency, Dream Drivers Ltd, in his own time.​
For fun, Cammy loves working out at the gym, eating out and socialising with friends.
Godspower Uzuh, CA
Godspower joined ZEN Consultants in July 2024 as a Qualified Chartered Accountant. He brings a wealth of experience, having worked across industries including manufacturing, supply chain and logistics, engineering and construction, and the public sector. A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, Godspower also holds a master’s degree in supply chain management, a postgraduate diploma in economics, and a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance.
​
At ZEN, his main responsibility is overseeing yearly company accounts, supporting the team in maintaining high-quality reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and HMRC regulations. What Godspower values most about ZEN is the friendly and collaborative team environment.
Outside of work, he enjoys travelling and spending time with his family. Looking ahead, he hopes to continue building on his expertise as a tax practitioner, with a strong focus on UK tax rules and regulations.
Hans Jensen, BA (Hons), MAAT
Hans joined ZEN Consultants in April 2020 as a trainee accounts technician and has since qualified within the role, now working as a team leader. He specialises in VAT returns and annual company accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance for clients

What Hans values most about ZEN is the laid-back and friendly atmosphere, which encourages collaboration and growth.
​
Outside of work, he enjoys listening to music, playing the guitar, and spending time with friends and family. He is currently working towards completing his ACCA studies to become a fully chartered accountant.
Chris Ramos, MAAT
Chris joined ZEN Consultants in May 2019 straight from high school and has been with the company for six years. Now an Accounts Technician and Team Leader, he specialises in self-assessment and corporate tax, with a focus on tax return submissions and tax efficiency.

What Chris values most about ZEN is the strong bond within the team, which makes the workplace both supportive and enjoyable.
​
Outside of work, he enjoys hiking in the Scottish mountains, watching football, and going to the gym. Chris is currently working towards his ACCA qualification to become a Chartered Accountant.
Wei-Han Yeo, MAAT | MA (Hons) Acc. and Bus. Fin
Wei-Han joined ZEN Consultants in August 2023 as a Trainee Accountant after graduating with an Honours Degree in Accountancy and Business Finance from Heriot-Watt University. His work focuses on sole trader and directors’ self-assessments, payroll, and bookkeeping, and he is currently training in capital gains tax.

What Wei-Han values most about ZEN is the friendly and supportive environment, where collaboration and shared learning are at the heart of the team culture.
​
Outside of work, he enjoys server projects, cooking, and has recently started exploring photography with plans to launch his own blog. He’s also looking forward to getting back into camping and hiking. Wei-Han is currently working towards becoming a Chartered Accountant with a focus on personal, corporate, and capital gains taxation.
A fun fact: he speaks three languages: Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia, though he still finds the Scottish accent a challenge!
Antonello Valente, HND in Accounting | MAAT
Antonello joined Zen Consultants in June 2023 as a Trainee Accountant. With a background in personal tax and administration, he brings a team-focused attitude and is keen to keep building his foundation in accounting while working towards full qualification.

What Antonello values most about Zen is the collaborative environment, where knowledge is shared and everyone works together.
​
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, scuba diving, playing chess, and travelling.
Fun fact: he once fell asleep on a train and woke up over 200km away from his destination.
Fathima Pallath Abdul Nazir, MSc
Fathima joined ZEN Consultants in June 2024 as a Trainee Accountant after completing an MSc in Professional Accountancy at the University of Dundee. Her work focuses on corporate accounts and director self-assessments.

What Fathima values most about ZEN is the collaborative environment, supportive culture, and opportunities for professional growth.
​
Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, cooking, and spending time with friends. Currently working towards her ACCA qualification, her goal is to become a chartered accountant.
Fun fact: she’s living proof that you can love tax and still have a social life.
David Nasseri, BA (Hons)
David joined ZEN Consultants in August 2023 as a Trainee Accountant. A graduate of Abertay University with a degree in Accounting with Finance, he now works primarily in the Payroll Department while also assisting with VAT returns and CIS submissions.

What David enjoys most about working at ZEN is that it feels less like a job and more like a fun, engaging experience.
​
Outside of work, he enjoys trips to the cinema and gaming. David is currently studying towards his ACCA qualification and is focused on continually developing his skills.
Finlay Small, Apprentice
Finlay joined ZEN Consultants in August 2023 as an Apprentice Accountant after studying International Business at Heriot Watt University. Since starting, he has gained experience in bookkeeping, sole trader and director self-assessments, and VAT returns, and is keen to expand into other areas of accountancy.

What Finlay enjoys most about ZEN is the relaxed and supportive work culture, which has helped him grow both personally and professionally.
​
Outside of work, he enjoys playing rugby and golf, watching films and TV shows, and spending time with friends and family. Finlay is currently working towards his AAT qualification, with the goal of progressing to ACCA and becoming a fully chartered accountant.
Hamish Stevens, Apprentice
Hamish joined ZEN Consultants in April 2024 as an Apprentice Accountant, having previously worked as a bar manager. Since starting, he has gained experience in bookkeeping, VAT returns, and self-assessments, and is looking forward to working on charity accounts.

What Hamish values most about ZEN is the strong team environment and supportive culture, which makes it a fantastic place to work.
​
Outside of work, he enjoys playing rugby and netball. Hamish is currently studying towards his AAT qualification, with the goal of becoming an ACCA Chartered Accountant.
Fun fact: he moved to the UK from New Zealand when he was five.
Gizmo
ZEN MASCOT (Part-time)
Gizmo was born into the lineage of longstanding Kennel Club winners. As a pedigree he decided that he didn't want to follow in his parents' paw steps as his character was more Zen like. So instead he applied and got accepted as a valued member of the Zen Dream Team in March 2014.

Gizmo's speciality is the meet and greet of our clients that come into the office, he instantly puts them at ease with his charm and constant need for petting. Don't worry if you forget to pet him, he will remind you with a gentle nudge!
